Hands-On Excellence: The Baker Company at the 32nd Annual CETA Conference
In April 2025, The Baker Company was proud to participate in the 32nd Annual Conference of the Controlled Environment Testing Association (CETA) in Orlando, Florida – a key gathering of certifiers, manufacturers, and cleanroom professionals committed to advancing controlled environment technologies.

Setting the Standard with Hands-On Learning
Our presence kicked off with a standout performance in Friday’s Hands-On Electrical Troubleshooting session. Led by Bryan Lavallee, our Tech Support Supervisor, with our team’s support, the session provided certifiers and field techs with a unique opportunity to physically interact with biosafety cabinet control boards. Participants diagnosed simulated failures, learned diagnostic methods with schematics, measured electric continuity, and gained practical skills not typically accessible during standard service training.
The CETA conference provides an excellent opportunity to work with a large group of certifiers, and the Baker field team took advantage by providing real world practical situations to teach from. Baker’s series drew praise for its hands-on, highly instructive approach.
Manufacturer Update and Strong Booth Engagement
On Saturday morning, Bryan also delivered Baker’s Manufacturer Update, which included updates on NSF re-listing and product performance improvements. The presentation was well received and complemented by newly designed handouts that matched the update’s training deck – a perfect resource for those who couldn’t attend in person.
Meanwhile, our booth was the busiest on the show floor. Featuring a fully functional SterilGARD® e3 biosafety cabinet and located next to our long-time collaborators at the Eagleson Institute, the space created a unified presence that emphasized education and collaboration. Giveaways such as branded 40 oz tumblers and engaging literature drew large crowds and fostered great conversations.
Honoring Innovation and Insight
The event also recognized the expertise of our Science Director, Dr. Kara Brunelle Held, who was honored as a Distinguished Speaker by CETA. Her presentation, BSC Mythbusters: All Airflow Monitors are Created Equal, tackled the tools for airflow measurement and common misunderstandings in appropriate monitoring methods. Her talk underscored Baker’s continuing role in driving scientific rigor and innovation within the field.
Looking Ahead
From our engaging booth setup and standout technical sessions with Bryan, to Kara’s industry recognition, CETA 2025 was a rewarding event that reinforced Baker’s leadership in biosafety and environmental control. The show offered invaluable brand exposure, hands-on learning, and meaningful peer engagement.
We look forward to participating again in the future – and to continuing our commitment to equipping the cleanroom and lab community with tools, knowledge, and innovations that set the standard in safety and performance.
